I’ll cut right to the chase. If you don’t know what ketosis is, right now, you’re probably running your body on glucose. That means you eat what’s considered a “normal” diet of bread, beer, meats, veggies etc, and that’s fine, but did you know your body has a another, more efficient way of making fuel and keeping you full of energy?
A brief about the science behind it:
All or our cells use a molecule called ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) for energy, without it, life would not be possible. There are two ways your body knows how to make ATP, and that’s through either glucose (by processing carbohydrates) or ketone bodies (processing fats).
That is where ketosis, or the keto diet comes in. The objective of the diet is to safely get you off eating carbohydrates and instead satisfy your energy need by eating healthy fats, and within a week, your body starts using it’s own stores of fat as energy and you lose lots of weight.

Humans have evolved through the ages and accomplished wonders throughout the world for several thousands of years without easily available meals throughout the day.
Have you ever heard stories of Alexander The Great stopping for a proper meal and snacks 3 to 5 times a day? …
I doubt it.
The point I’m trying to make is that the concept of easily available, cheap, sugar rich food, cooked in chemically processed oils are a new phenomenon in the past 100 years…
…and they have a detrimental effect, not only on your waistline, but also on your neurological health, endocrine system and longevity.
Cutting these sugar rich foods out of your normal diet is a good thing, because they were never meant to be in a normal diet, especially not in the amounts they are today.
However they become a bigger anchor on your body and mind if your goal is to get fit, lose weight and look your best.
In which case the easiest way to better overall health and lose weight fast and safely, is a diet low in sugars and carbohydrates.

I know you’ve tried curbing sugar intake before, but you just end up feeling weak, irritable and miserable; or you need to keep eating some “healthy” alternative throughout the day just to maintain your sanity and productivity.
Am I on the right track?
That’s a given! because your body still needs energy to work, move, breath, etc. and your brain needs a constant supply, It’s comparatively the single most energy hungry organ in the body and makes up for 20% of a balanced, healthy person’s body’s energy bill.
So If history and science have taught us that we shouldn’t run the body on sugar all the time, and that’s it’s unnatural to stuff our faces with snacks through the day, or even feel hungry through the day. Let’s instead, get your body running more efficiently by using fat (ketones) as fuel.
The best part is that exercise is not needed in this diet, unless you plan to build serious muscle down the line.
Don’t get me wrong, supplementing the diet plan with a good exercise routine that you can do in 15 mins is very helpful, but it’s not a requirement to start losing weight now.
When your body enters this state of nutritional ketosis (not starvation mode)by avoiding sugars and consuming fat’s, after a few days it will start melting away the fat stored in your body and use it as a stable supply of energy. Again, you aren’t starving yourself, you’re going to be removing the carbs, and adding butter, and meat.
